In 2007, Andavadoaka will open a community-run eco-lodge, fully owned and managed by local villagers.
Sitting on Andavadoaka's sandy white beaches, the lodge will include a restaurant, a bar and 25 bungalows. It will be powered by sustainable energy, including solar and wind, which will also provide clean energy to the broader village.
The resort will not only bring jobs and revenue to Andavadoaka, but it will offer a variety of recreational activities and educational workshops, allowing visitors to learn about the region’s unique culture and environment. Tour guides can take visitors on snorkelling expeditions, sailing trips or birdwatching treks.
